Wigging out on Celebrity Wig Trends

Wigs were first created by the Ancient Egyptians, only people of nobility or of high social status were allowed to wear wigs (servants and slaves were prohibited). Wigs were made of either human or animal hair at the time and installed into position on the person’s head using beeswax. Wigs have existed in many societies for medical and cosmetic reasons and since then even became a part of legal system attire in many nations to date.

Long story short that's the history of how wigs came to be.

Now-a-days wigs are almost everywhere, celebrities like Queen B aka Beyonce,  Lady Gaga, Sza and Kylie Jenner are wigs enthusiasts and proudly rock bright, colourful, long (or short) wigs in their professional and private lives.

Wigs no longer carry the stigma that they once did in the past. Wigs have always been a part of the African American women (especially) beauty regime. Not all wigs wearers are individuals that suffer from hair loss as it is also a fashion statement for some and encourages a playful outlook on life (this is just our opinion). Much gratitude to Queen B aka Beyonce for celebrating and normalising the wearing of wigs and eliminating that negative old story of if you are wearing a wig, you must have something to hide (and even if so, ain't nothing wrong with wearing a wig, if it gives your confidence and power to rock your best life, then girl; WE SALUTE YOU!
After all you must know by now our back story and how we became be due to our founder Dee experiencing hair loss at the age of 25, she didn't allow it to hinder her from living her best life so why should you allow it to hinder yours (sorry, not sorry for the tangent).

You don't have to believe us about wigs but when Queen B says it so... maybe you should. Just look at Beyonce with her iconic Diva pose. Are you now channeling your inner Sacha Fierce? Then you better check on it in our natural tone collection, the wig's name is Bae. Now let's get in Formation.
